LegisSQL
Version 2
Legis is a feature rich application that provides a
huge potential for any ambitious firm who wants to remain competitive.
Below we have listed the highlights, but some
features are particularly important to consider when buying a
Case
Management System. For example, a product based on an SQL database
should now be a number one absolute requirement when it comes to
purchasing any new system.

Application
Features
Full Case Management System
Provides all necessary standard data fields,
and an initial set of documents/letters, and allows complete
configuration of additional data screens by worktype
enabling you to decide what additional worktype specific
information you wish to store and on what screens it is
displayed/edited. We can provide a full 'turn-key' solution if required.
Highly Configurable
In addition to the complete
configuration of additional data screens by worktype,
the system administrator can also decide what shortcuts appear in the
'outlook navigation bar' on the left hand side of the main window. These
are totally configurable by means of an XML file, and can be set to fire
built-in LegisSQL actions such as producing a customised letter, or much
more powerful 'processes' such as the complete inception of a new
matter. This area will be developed even further in future to make sure
that the 'shortcuts' you need most often for a particular worktype are
available as quickly as possible. This configurability makes
LegisSQL extremely easy to use from a handler's point of view, but
extremely powerful in it's capabilities.
Email (fully integrated with Exchange Server)
LegisSQL contains three programs which automate the
handling of email to and from a matter. By means of embedded codes
and/or subject lines, email responses can be automatically routed to the
correct matter. If this information is missing from an incoming email,
then the email can be allocated to the correct matter by manual
intervention. Incoming emails automatically appear in the matter's
document screen, and may be set to automatically put an entry on the
handlers Task List.
Task Manager
A vital and integral part
of LegisSQL, this allows a handler to instantly see all tasks requiring
his/her attention, and allows access to them by a single mouse-click.
The task list can be ordered by priority, and filtered
dynamically to ensure maximum productivity.
Document manager
Instantly allows a handler to see every
document/letter/email for a particular matter in date order, or by user
specifiable sort sequence. Allows instant viewing of the relevant item
(for example, a scanned incoming letter, or a
sent letter, or an response to an email).
Document Scanning Capability
Legis provides a powerful posting capability
allowing a true paperless office, if desired,
by allowing all incoming mail to be scanned,
and attached to the relevant matter by a 'post room'.
The scanned documents can then be accessed on-screen by the
handlers, saving all the
time associated with hunting for matter
files.
Development
Tools
Legis Screen
Designer (Painter)
This allows you to define your
own additional data input screens within the system so that you may
customise LegisSQL to store exactly the data required for a
particular work provider (and this may be different for each provider!).
Our unique process then produces true SQL tables from these
visually designed screens, and lets you access the values in the
document designer using the field names you have chosen! The level
of customisation and tailorability to your workflow is simply
unequalled.
Legis Document
Designer (Builder/ Letter maker)
This program allows the creation
and modification of documents (letters and/or emails and/or forms)
within the system. We have written a simple document specific
language that is very easy to learn by non-technical staff. Anyone
familiar with word-processing will find it a simple task to learn the
additional formatting and field merge notation to create any type of
document.
